A Bittersweet Farewell to an AAC Co-Founder

It is with great pride, and lots of big feelings that Arts Administrators of Color Network announces co-founder Ariel E. Davis’s departure from the board of directors.

AAC is the fruit of hers and co-founder Quanice G. Floyd’s passion, imagination, and labor. Ariel’s deep experience as a cultural organizer and creative strategist have grown AAC from a Facebook group back in 2016 to a thriving organization with a bold vision for the future of arts and culture.

For all of that, we are forever grateful. While her departure is bittersweet, we know that she will forever be part of the AAC family.

Ariel shared, “I'm excited to witness the growth of the Arts Administrators of Color under the steadfast guidance of Karla Estela Rivera, complemented by a vibrant board of directors and a network of community collaborators, supporters, and enthusiasts. I am deeply grateful for the exceptional legacy the upcoming chapter promises for the organization. I look forward to continuing my support as an ongoing member of the community.”

We eagerly anticipate seeing the difference she will further create as she alters her priorities to provide more profound assistance in cultural reinvestment initiatives, in her role as an independent arts and culture consultant.

We hope you’ll join us in thanking Ariel for all she has done for AAC and wish her well on her amazing journey ahead. You can keep up with all that Ariel is up to at her website https://www.aeryelle.com, or contact her directly at ariel@aeryconsultingservices.org
