dani tirrell
Danny Long (professionally known as dani tirrell, dani as pronoun) is a Black, Trans Spectrum, Queer choreographer, curator, and movement guide whose work centers Black identity, storytelling, and communal care. Founder of The Congregation and former Artistic Director of Central District Forum for Arts & Ideas (2018–2025), dani’s work has been presented by On the Boards, Seattle Theatre Group, and Velocity. They are a 2023 NEFA NDP grantee and 2024 NDEO awardee. dani’s ceremonial performance practice bridges African Diaspora traditions, dance-theater, and conversation to invite reflection, joy, and transformation across Black communities and beyond.
